The Benefits of Sleep Dentistry

Many patients struggle receiving dental care for a number of reasons. If you suffer from severe dental anxiety, have limited mobility due to physical limitations, require extensive dental work and exhibit barriers to care due to age, consider yourself a great candidate for sleep dentistry.

Your comfort and satisfaction during your dental visit is our top priority. Our team will treat you as an honored guest. We take the time to thoroughly explain exactly what dental procedures you are having, why and what to expect from them. We will always take the time to answer your questions, before any work begins.

are important from the beginning and that starts here.

Hellos and Paperwork:

In the waiting room, you will be greeted by our staff who will get you started on your new patient paperwork.

  • Please come in 15 minutes before your appointment so you have time to complete your paperwork.
  • Bring your insurance card and your preferred method of payment available.
  • If you are under 18 years of age or if you have special needs, a parent or guardian must accompany you to the first visit.
  • If you need an interpreter, please let us know ahead of time.
  • If you are not able to make your scheduled appointment time, please be courteous and contact our office as soon as possible.
  • Bring a current medications list. Please alert the office if you have a medical condition that may be of concern prior to a dental cleaning or dental surgery (diabetes, high blood pressure, artificial heart valves, rheumatic fever, joint replacement within past 6 months, etc.) or if you are on any medications (heart medications, aspirin, anticoagulant therapy, etc) or require medication prior to dental cleanings (antibiotics for pre-medication).

Exam & X-rays

You will meet with your dentist to talk about your medical history. If you have any oral health worries or fears, you can feel comfortable sharing them —your comfort is most important, so we encourage you to ask questions.

You will receive a thorough examination by our dentist and dental hygienist. They will examine your teeth, gums, and mouth in a comprehensive manner. The examination will include an oral cancer screening, a periodontal disease evaluation, diagnostic intra-oral photos, any necessary digital x-rays, and study models (if needed).

Sit Down With Our Team

We will discuss the comprehensive dental treatment plan developed specifically for you. While your dentist will provide the expert guidance you deserve, your questions are always welcome and you always have the final say in your treatment.

Your treatment plan is designed to prevent small issues from getting bigger and more expensive, so it will address the problems that are bothering you now and may also identify others that could impact your long-term oral health.

After you’ve talked with your dentist, we will answer any questions or concerns you might have, including the payment options available and how your dental insurance works.
